Having both a race mode and an endless mode gives the bike two jobs, and it is good at both. Racing rewards precision through corners; the endless run rewards reading traffic and holding a line for minutes at a time.

Bikes unlock steadily and change the balance between acceleration and stability. On the endless run stability wins; in the races the opposite is usually true.

Competitors ride aggressively enough that defending a position is a real part of the racing.

Traffic in the endless mode thickens gradually rather than in waves, so the difficulty arrives as a slow squeeze on the gaps you have been using.

1. Pick a mode — races for skill, endless for score.
2. Hold a consistent line when rivals are close.
3. Choose a stable bike for endless runs.
4. Unlock machines by finishing well.
