A quad sits between a motorcycle and a small buggy, and the game is built on that difference. Four wheels forgive a sloppy landing that would end a bike run, but they also refuse to rotate in the air the way a bike does, so recovering a bad take-off is harder.
Hill tracks make climbing the main event. Momentum is everything on a long ascent, and the machine is heavy enough that losing it halfway usually means rolling back down to try again.
