Tunnel Road

The tunnel narrows the problem to one dimension: obstacles come towards you and there are only two directions to go. That simplicity is what makes the speed increase work — by the end of a good run you are reacting rather than deciding.

Pickups sit directly in the path of obstacles often enough that grabbing them is an active choice. The scoring rewards the players who take them, which keeps the game from settling into a safe rhythm.

Runs are short and restarts instant, which is exactly right for a pure reflex game.

1. Steer with small inputs — the car reacts quickly.
2. Look at the far end of the tunnel, not the car.
3. Take pickups when they sit in a clear line.
4. Survive as long as the speed allows.
