ROD Multiplayer Car Driving

Sharing the map with other people changes a driving sandbox completely. Junctions become unpredictable, impromptu races start without being announced, and the city feels used rather than empty.

The cars drift readily and hold their angle well, which is why most of what happens in the shared spaces is drifting rather than racing. Meeting points emerge naturally around the wider intersections.

There is no structure imposed on any of this, which is the point.

Vehicle choice ranges from small hatchbacks to heavy saloons, and the heavy cars hold an angle far longer once they are sideways.

1. Join the city and pick a car.
2. Use the handbrake to start a drift, throttle to hold it.
3. Look for other players at the larger junctions.
4. Set your own goals — the map has no scripted objectives.
