Rock Crawling

A slow-speed 4x4 discipline: torque, tyre placement and patience over broken rock.

Rock Crawling

Speed is the enemy in this one. Progress comes from placing a wheel on the right ledge, letting the suspension articulate and easing forward until the truck tips over the obstacle — a process measured in seconds rather than lap times.

Because the pace is slow, mistakes are legible. You can see exactly which wheel lifted and why the truck slid sideways, which makes the retry productive rather than frustrating.

Vehicle setup is limited but meaningful: tyre choice decides whether a ledge is a step or a wall, and there is no upgrade that substitutes for a careful approach.

Controls

Arrows to drive, space for the brake, C to change camera angle.

How to Play

  1. Approach an obstacle square, not at an angle.
  2. Use gentle throttle — wheelspin loses grip on rock.
  3. Pick the line that keeps three wheels loaded.
  4. Reach the marker at the top of each section.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Rock Crawling a racing game?

Not really. It is an off-road discipline about grip and wheel placement, and the clock matters far less than the line you choose.
